YOUR INSTRUMENT NEEDS REPAIR IF: Brass: slides or mouthpiece are stuck, valves stuck or sluggish. DO NOT attempt to remove it yourself using anything other than your fingers and penetrating oil. NO TOOLS! DO NOT TIE ONE END TO TREE AND OTHER END TO BUMPER! BRING IT TO ME! Trombone: any slides are stuck or sluggish. Woodwind: any stuck, brittle (hardened), ripped, or moth-eaten pads should be replaced. All notes should be easy to play. Woodwinds should have an annual checkup. Repair Rates Basic labor rate: $30/hour; $15 minimum Brass instrument dent work: $35/hour WOODWIND RE-PAD - All new corks and pads, instrument plays like new.
